With the first director of our institute,
Ven. Jongho’s devotion and compassion, Jonghak Institute has so far proceeding with discussions on the roles of Buddhism in our modern society, through studies in various fields.

Afterwards will we, Jonghak Institute, continue to fully perform our roles of finding and systematizing meanings in various categories such as practice of Buddhism, culture, history, thoughts, applied Buddhism, etc. regarding Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, Dongguk University, and Korean Buddhism.

Our modern society is facing various changes due to the artificial intelligence and the 4th industry. Jonghak Institute will contemplate as to what roles Buddhism should play in the rapidly changing society while trying to find the solutions with many other people through Conferences.

We, Jonghak Institute, are to be an institute to that’s undoubtedly necessary in this era.
